Strix conducts major study for Security & Defence Agenda in Brussels
In Spring 2007, Strix conducted a study looking at ways to increase the involvement
of nongovernment thinkers from France and elsewhere in the EU-level defence
debate. The project, carried out on behalf of the prestigious SDA policy forum
in Brussels, interviewed senior EU and national government officials, industry
representatives, think tank leaders and academics, and members of the international
press corps, in Brussels, Paris and across Europe, to provide as wide and
balanced an overview as possible. The SDA then organised a lunch debate in
Brussels gathering key participants from the European Institutions, EDA, EU
Military staff, Government, think tanks and industry in the ESDP debate. Findings
were published publicly during the summer.
